From Technology Users to Technology Creators
Through Woz Ed, students engage with technology by designing, building, programming, testing, and improving their own work. These experiences help students develop technical knowledge while strengthening creativity, perseverance, communication, and teamwork.
The Imani School’s Woz Ed curriculum includes a progression of experiences in animation, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, drone technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, 3D printing, and related emerging technologies.

Innovation in the Classroom
Across grade levels, students apply what they are learning through projects that ask them to design, test, revise, and explain their thinking.

Robotics
Robotics challenges students to combine engineering, coding, mathematics, communication, and persistence. As students work together to build and troubleshoot, they learn that innovation is rarely a straight line, and that meaningful solutions often emerge through testing, revision, and teamwork.

Animation and Digital Storytelling
Through animation and digital storytelling, students learn to plan, sequence, communicate, and bring original ideas to life. The process blends artistic expression with technical thinking, helping students see that creativity and STEM are deeply connected.

Coding and Computer Science
Coding teaches students how to break complex challenges into manageable steps, recognize patterns, test ideas, and communicate instructions with precision. Students build computational thinking skills that support learning across subjects.

Engineering and Teamwork
Whether students are programming a robot, constructing a model, designing a structure, or testing a new idea, they are learning how to communicate, listen, adapt, and contribute to a team. These experiences build skills students will need in high school, college, careers, and leadership.
