Chess team excels at tournament
The Golden Knights are shining once again!! Imani's chess team placed third at a Houston Chess Association Tournament on Sept. 17 at Aldine Middle School. The Golden Knights' success sustains their status as one of the top chess teams in Houston. Individual trophies won by: Jumaane S., (5th Grade) 4th Place; Joshua W., (4th Grade) 6th Place; Caleb C., (5th Grade) 6th Place; and Dipa S., (4th Grade) 6th Place. Strong performances also were delivered by Ethan J. (1st Grade), Donovan R. (3rd Grade) and Austin W. (4th Grade). Way to go, Imani Chess!!!
