Evan Lord elected V. P. of Texas Beta Club!
Congratulations to Evan Lord!!!
Evan was elected by his peers to serve as the 2011-12 Vice President of Texas of the National Jr. Beta Club! Evan is the first African American in Texas to serve in a state office position!
As an elected officer, the Jr. Beta Club sent Evan to the Beta Broyhill Leadership Conference last summer. Evan met other Beta officers on a national and state level as well as students seeking to become officers.
Evan said he enjoyed the knowledge he gained and his experiences at the leadership retreat. The Beta BLC emphasized team building, leadership growth and strengthening interpersonal communication skills.

independent, non-profit, educational youth organization. The honor and service organization promotes the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.
