The Imani School Blues
Our young musicians in the Imani Jazz Ensemble have the blues - the down home blues and we're shoutin' all over about it!
The Imani Jazz Ensemble performed at the House of Blues on Friday Jan. 22. The group closed a set, to a standing ovation, that featured some of Houston's youngest and most gifted artists.
Under the direction of Mr. Leon Mitchison, The Imani Jazz Ensemble has been asked to play for dignitaries, U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and at an event during President Barack Obama's inauguration. Way to go Angels!
