Imani 7th Grader to Serve as Keynote Speaker Host
at 2009 Presidential Inauguration!
Few people can boast they witnessed the historic swearing in of President Elect Barack Obama. Imani School 7th grader Falyn Page, will not only see Obama being sworn in, but also participate in the landmark ceremony by introducing either former Secretary of State Colin Powell or former vice-president Al Gore at a scheduled event.
To be selected as one of the official Keynote Speaker Hosts, Falyn had to create and submit a 30 second video covering:

Falyn was picked out of applicants across the country to participate in the Junior Youth Inaugural Conference, a group of students who attend and participate in events during the presidential inauguration.
“I am so honored to have one of our students represent
Falyn, an ‘A’ student at The Imani School, said she is excited about making the trip to the nation’s capital.
“I can’t wait to arrive in D.C.,” Fayln said. “I plan to practice my speech 30 times a day and in front of my class until I arrive on stage. Meeting the President will also be a special opportunity.”
